Just Once More

Okay, I know I must seem obsessed with our new cat's interest in the other animals, but she's just so persistent about it. I promise this is the last post about it unless she does something really interesting.

Last night, she approached baby Ben, the budding billy goat. He's about 5 months old now, and starting to feel what my husband calls his goat-tosterone. He's getting a little goatee, and his horns are growing fast. He still lets us pet and handle him, but we're watching to see if that changes.

Halley, the new cat, decided to approach him last night. He put his head down and stamped his foot, but the fence prevented any further confrontation.

Then they both apparently noticed I was taking pictures.

Geez, guys, I'm supposed to be invisible when I'm taking pictures. Sigh.

By the way, in case you were wondering, Ben doesn't have brown knees. Those are red clay stains. If you live in the red-clay part of the country, let me suggest not getting a white goat.

Or white carpet, for that matter. (Honest, it was already in the house when we bought it.)

  1. What a cute cat and goat! I had to laugh about the white carpet. We got some new carpet free one time, the only problem was it was white. It was really beautiful when we first put it in. I loved it! Not for long though! I came to the conclusion that living in the country and white carpet are kind of incompatible.
